Youth Coaching

Working with adult clients on workplace or personal related issues, goals and challenges has been extremely rewarding. However, CoachCove has always had a special spot in my life for the youth of America. This spot has grown over the years from coaching hockey, baseball and softball teams to “Co-Actively Coaching” Middle School classes and on how to deal with the peer pressure of “fitting in”. Additionally, this work has evolved to include High School student athletes trying to figure out how to position themselves for possible College Scholarships, teaching interview skills for College Interviews etc. Lastly, CoachCove has established wonderful relationships with Collegians while assisting them at looking at the daunting task of mapping out their first career move.

Co-Active coaching is truly powerful for people of all ages and walks of life. Given that I am working with so many middle aged people who are looking for happiness and success in their lives, think of the impact to our youth if they start to look at some of these issues so much earlier in their lives!!! Not making the Varsity Basketball team may seem like the end of the world. However, what are the possibilities that open up as a result of not playing on this team?

Coaching is not therapy. However, coaches may be able to identify when a youth needs some additional resources given their situation. I would have benefitted greatly if I were exposed to coaching earlier in my life. Thus, I am absolutely passionate about exposing as many youths as possible to the life altering power of coaching.
